Description
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Designation of Origin: DO Montsant
Wine style: Barrel-fermented white
Grape varieties and percentages: 50% White Grenache 50% Macabeo
Vinification: The grapes are usually picked by hand in the first half of October. Once at the winery, they undergo a pre-fermentation maceration for a few hours to draw out the full aromatic potential of the varieties. Fermentation takes place slowly over 20 days in oak barrels.
Ageing and bottling: Once fermentation is complete, the wine stays in the same barrels for 5 months, constantly stirred with its own lees, which give it its characteristic aromas and flavours. Once the winter cold has passed, the wine is bottled.
TASTING NOTE
Lemon-yellow hues, pronounced legs. On the nose it shows good aromatic power, with standout notes of white flowers, fleshy fruit and honey, combined with light touches of vanilla and toast. On the palate it is balanced, full, glyceric and unctuous. Persistent retronasal finish.
Food pairing: It pairs very well with all kinds of fish, seafood and shellfish. Recommended with mild-flavoured meats and snails.
Recommended serving temperature: between 8 and 10 ºC
