Description
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Designation of Origin: DO Montsant
Wine style: Dry red
Grape varieties and percentages: 100% Grenache
Vinification: The grapes are usually picked by hand in the second week of October. Once at the winery, fermentation takes place over 20 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with skin maceration to extract as much colour as possible and keep the varietal character. The wine is then pressed and transferred to concrete vats, where malolactic fermentation takes place.
Ageing and bottling: Once malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is racked into oak barrels, where it ages for at least 14 months, followed by 12 months in bottle.
TASTING NOTE
Intense ruby red colour. High intensity on the nose, with balsamic, mineral and red fruit notes. On the palate it is balanced, glyceric and unctuous, with ripe, smooth tannins that give it body and personality. Persistent retronasal finish.
Food pairing: It pairs very well with all kinds of red meat, roasts and game. It can also be served with cheeses and cured meats.
Recommended serving temperature: between 17 and 18 ºC.
